On July 16, 2024, the evaluation meeting for the "AUTBUS: High-Speed Bus for Oil and Gas Research and Application of Pipeline Monitoring" was successfully held in Beijing by the China National Pipeline Network Group's West Pipeline Company, Beijing Kyland Technology Co., Ltd., and China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. Organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation, the evaluation committee comprised nine Chinese industry experts, such as Academicians Chai Tianyou and Zhang Laibin. Wu Zhiping, Deputy General Manager of the Technology Department of the National Pipeline Network Group, and Pang Guiliang, Deputy General Manager of the West Pipeline Company, attended the meeting. At the meeting, the expert panel reviewed the project team's achievements, innovative research outcomes, technological applications, and their economic and social benefits. After detailed inquiries and discussions, the expert panel concluded that the project had innovatively proposed a flattened network architecture using AUTBUS. They independently developed international standards for time-sensitive network technology and bus systems, and for the first time, created domestically produced bus chips, communication modules, field instruments, and control systems. This breakthrough provided a self-controlled technical solution from the chip to the system level, broke the foreign monopoly on high-speed bus technology, and achieved a significant advancement in the international standard for two-wire broadband bus technology. The project successfully passed expert evaluation. Since its launch in 2019, the 'AUTBUS High-Speed Bus for Oil and Gas Pipeline Monitoring' project has achieved autonomous supply of high-speed buses for pipeline monitoring. It has established a fully localized and self-controlled industrial ecosystem, advanced the development of 'intelligent pipelines,' laid a solid foundation for the digital and intelligent transformation of the oil and gas industry, and strengthened China’s core technological competitiveness in the international oil and gas sector. |
