On September 19, 2019, Kyland Technology, the leading enterprise of industrial internet technology in China, and Intel, the largest CPU chip manufacturer in the world signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Yichang. Both parties agreed to jointly develop software-defined industrial servers and edge servers based on Intewell, Kyland Technology’s own smart industrial operating system and Intel’s CPU chips, while working hand in hand to the application of these products in various areas, including smart manufacturing, industrial robotics, smart grid, process industry, and smart cars in the future.
In the cooperation meeting, Intel and Kyland Technology discussed their participation in the development and promotion of international standards in the industrial sector in the future, and reached a consensus on the integration of Kyland’s AUTBUS chips based on the International Standards for Industrial Control Buses, and Intel’s CPU chips, as well as the application and promotion of these chips. At the same time, both parties have reached an initial agreement to jointly build the Intel Smart Industry Global Application Demonstration and Technical Support Training Center focusing on software-defined control technology and 5G technology based on Kyland Technology’s Industrial Internet Park in Yichang.
